Absolutely fantastic experience! We were very lucky with the weather too so it wasn’t too hot or too cold for a full day of exploration! We learned a lot, discovered more than expected, made loads of photos and even managed to fly our drone above some of the sites for better views. Highly recommended experience I would say at any time of the year. We also enjoyed that lovely coffee break with delicious biscuits and our lunch at the pub! Ian is a great storyteller and very, very knowledgeable!

This was a wonderful experience to see some of the ancient history of the Peak District. Ian is an extremely knowledgeable archaeologist and can tailor the tour but we just let him show us the hidden gems while captivating us with the gorgeous countryside. The coffee break was nice and the lunch was delicious with an amazing view. Highly recommend!

This was a lovely way to spend a day learning about the ancient history and seeing the beauty of the Peak District! Ian is very knowledgeable of the subject matter. The sites themselves are incredible, and it’s neat to see that many are so well-preserved and virtually hidden in plain sight. The van was comfortable, and Ian also added some nice personal touches like picnic snacks and magically produced water bottles. The spot he chose for lunch was just perfect! It all made for a beautiful day out. I’m glad I chose this particular experience during my limited time in the Manchester area!

This is a very chill tour if you would like to see the beautiful countryside and learn some history of the area. The tea was a nice touch! Be sure to wear waterproof shoes or bring extra socks: you will be walking through tall grass. Ian is very knowledgeable and has interesting insight on the Peak District.
